NEW REGULATIONS FROM THE STATE REGARDING OUT OF STATE FOWL
Beginning on November 1, 2024, the state is requiring that ALL OUT OF STATE FOWL have a current CVI (Certificate of Veterinary Inspection) and current Pullorum test. (Currently this DOES NOT include fowl from Michigan) Out of state fowl that are exempt from Pullorum testing are birds under the age of 4 months, waterfowl (ducks, geese etc) pigeons and doves, these birds will still need a CVI.    We will offer Pullorum testing at the auction, for an additional charge of $1.50 per bird (cost of our supplies), but without the CVI the birds MUST be sold for SLAUGHTER ONLY.  This will take additional staff and patience on everyone’s part.  To avoid this fee and the extra time to check in, you may also contact a Pullorum tester in your area, call your local extension office to find a tester in your area.  CVI’s will be available through your vet.  These birds must then be kept in quarantine until they come to auction, YOU MUST bring the paperwork with you when you sell those birds, or we will be required to retest them.
